Members will have an extra $100 in their pockets if Co-op Services Credit Union reaches its $200,000 goal in its Amazing Auto Loan Challenge.

The $416 million credit union in Livonia, Mich., if it reaches its goal, said it will offer an additional $100 to everyone who finances a new vehicle or refinances an existing auto loan from another financial institution during the auto loan challenge, which continues through July 31.

Co-op Services launched the challenge in April. Since then, Co-op Services said it has saved members more than $155,000 in auto loan interest.

Lisa Fawcett, vice president of marketing for Co-op Services, said the suburban Detroit credit union's website has helped to pass the word along to family and friends of members about the challenge.

Co-op Services serves more than 49,000 members.
