Manatee Community Federal Credit Union didn't have to look very far to find its new leader.
Sherod Halliburton, executive vice president at the Bradenton, Fla., credit union since 2012, has been tapped as the new president/CEO.
Halliburton succeeds longtime president Cindy Barco, who has retired after 35 years of service.
Prior to joining the over $25 million credit union, he served as executive director of the Bradenton Central Community Redevelopment Agency. He also served on the credit union board from 2007 to 2012 and has been credited with helping Manatee Community FCU become designated a Community Development Financial Institution.
