Weeks after CUNA Mutual Group said it would transition its employee benefits book of business to Digital Insurance, a new suite of ancillary products will be also be available.

A subsidiary of Fidelity National Financial, Atlanta-based Digital Insurance said as part of the expanded relationship with CUNA Mutual, it has arranged for replacement group life and disability offerings from insurance carriers including from Unum and The Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America.

Digital Insurance said the offerings feature preferred products, pricing and benefits for credit union employees. It also negotiated with leading carriers to design group life and disability policies specifically to meet the needs of credit unions and their employees, according to the company.

The plans will be available to existing and new customers immediately or during renewal periods to those currently covered by CMFG Life policies, Digital Insurance said.

Digital Benefit Advisors, a division of Digital Insurance, will service the plans through its newly formed Credit Union Services team.

"Our customers and their employees will experience the advantages of enhanced products and services thanks to Digital's national platform and deep relationships with best-in-class carriers," said Robert Trunzo, president, CUNA Mutual Group Insurance & Financial Services.

Digital Benefit Advisors will also service provide resources, expertise and education to help credit unions prepare for the health care reform required by the Affordable Care Act, Digital Insurance said.
