First New York Federal Credit Union, Colonie, N.Y., welcomed James Alescio as the company's controller. Alescio is a graduate from Bentley University with an accounting degree. Before joining First New York, he worked at Trinity Alliance of the capital region and brings 15 years of banking experience to the credit union. He will be responsible for accounting function oversight, financial reporting, budgeting, interest rate risk management and investment portfolio management.

America First Credit Union, Riverdale, Utah, announced appointments to new positions within the credit union. Dave Stacey was named senior manager of treasury services, which encompasses three departments: treasury management, payment services and deposit products. He holds a degree from Weber State University and attended the CUNA Management School. Stacey, who has worked for America First since 1983, will directly manage the treasury department which encompasses cash flow, liquidity and investments, and conducts all asset-liability management modeling and reporting, in addition to local and national financial institution assessments. Stacey will supervise payment services which processes all paper and electronic member payments system wide, and assists with ACH processing, wire transfers, share-to- share and share-to-loan transactions, teller check adjustments, savings bonds and check orders. Stacey will also oversee deposit products. The department also supports members with online services, deposit and certificate accounts, Coverdell education, and NCUA insurance questions. Nineteen-year America First veteran, Rabecca Johnson, has been selected as the new manager of payment services. Johnson brings a wealth of experience to the position after working in many capacities for the credit union in member services, e-services and product management. Johnson most recently served as the payment services assistant manager. Lloyd Barnett has been selected as the new manager of deposit products. Barnett was hired as a consumer loan officer in 1998 at the Salt Lake Metro office. In 2000, he moved to the treasurer's office as a financial analyst, and then became the deposit products supervisor in 2005. He has been serving as the assistant manager of the department since 2012.
Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, announced the promotion of Norma Salazar to assistant vice president of quality and delivery management. In her new position, she will be responsible for all aspects of the credit union's software application change management, release management, quality assurance and project delivery across multiple business areas. Since joining Security Service in 2006 as a quality assurance analyst, Salazar has held other positions with increased responsibility, most recently serving as the manager of quality and delivery. Prior to joining the credit union, Salazar spent more than 10 years employed with IBC Bank. Separately, Security Service announced the promotion of Derrick Aguilar as vice president of member service operations, mountain region. In his new position, he will oversee operations iwn El Paso, Texas, and focus on in-branch operations, market growth, business development and community engagement. Aguilar joined SSFCU as a part-time member service associate in 2005 and has since held positions of increased responsibility, most recently serving as the assistant vice president, mountain region in El Paso. Security Service also announce the promotion of Renae Cunningham to assistant vice president of member service for the Northern Utah district. Cunningham has more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. She previously worked for Beehive Credit Union, which merged with Security Service in 2010. During her tenure, she has held positions with increased responsibility and most recently served as branch manager of the Riverton location. In her new position, Cunningham will be responsible for multiple locations, operations management, employee and leadership development as well as community service. MIDWEST
Dane County Credit Union, Madison, Wis., announced two staffing changes. Shay Santos, a 22-year veteran of Dane County Credit Union, has been promoted to chief financial officer. In his new role, he is responsible for directing the financial affairs of the credit union, establishing economic and financial objectives and policies. Santos oversees both the accounting and IT departments. Brent Davies rejoined Dane County Credit Union as the network and systems manager. Davies He will be responsible for maintaining the networks and processing systems of the credit union as well as managing the IT staff and the resources dedicated to supporting office automation, systems security, and database administration.

Dow Louisiana Federal Credit Union, Plaquemine, La., said that Robert Cheiffetz has been hired as controller. His experience includes investment portfolio management, directing external audits and other regulatory exams, development and implementation of strategic planning and asset liability management. In his new role, he will be responsible for internal controls which promote safeguarding of assets, financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, budget and projections, and asset-liability management. LaTasha Johnson has been promoted to the financial resource center manager at the credwit union's Plaquemine location. She has been employed with DLFCU for over 10 years and has previously served as an assistant manager.
