Less than three years ago, most probably didn't know what the word “gamification' meant.

Fast forward to 2013 and the term business gamification has started to catch on with some of the world's most notable companies, according to Business Gamification for Dummies by Kris Dugan and Kate Shoup.

The credit union industry also has stepped a toe into the gamification trend, including the Filene Research Institute, which studied the idea and issued a report last year.
