New officers have taken the helm of the Young Professionals Commission of the Credit Union Association of New York, and the group said it has begun planning several initiatives for the months ahead.
Coming out of their organizational meeting held earlier this month, the 35-and-under professional development group – founded in 2010 – said it plans to create an alumni group, enabling former YPC members to continue networking and sharing insights with their younger peers, as well as a young professionals-only Hike the Hill event in Washington, D.C., this fall.
The new chairperson is Aimee Johnson of the $53 million Oswego County FCU in Oswego, while Cara Carlevatti of the $67 million Great Erie FCU in Orchard Park was elected vice chairperson and Stephanie Carl of the $1 billion Corning FCU in Corning was elected secretary/communications chairperson.
