Lansing-area branches of the $2.4 billion, 171,000-member Michigan State University Employees Federal Credit Union recently collected more than 350 toys and other items for the Children's Center playroom at Sparrow Hospital in Michigan's capital city. MSUFCU also presented $20,000 to the Sparrow Children's Center as the key sponsor of the 25th annual Children's Miracle Network Hospitals telethon on May 31 and June 1, where 14 MSUFCU employees volunteered to take calls.
Patrick McPharlin, MSUFCU president/CEO, said, “We were honored to partner with the Sparrow Children's Center, Children's Miracle Network, and our members this year by donating toys and items that will enhance the playroom facilities and help make a difference in the lives of children receiving care at Sparrow.”
