NAFCU said it has booked veteran Democratic politico Paul Begala as its keynote speaker for the 2013 Congressional Caucus the trade group has planned for Sept. 8-11 at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in Washington.
Begala was chief strategist for the 1992 Clinton-Gore campaign and then a key Clinton adviser. He now is a CNN political analyst and commentator.
“We've had enough. Now is the time to 'Storm the Hill,'” said Dan Berger, the NAFCU executive vice president who takes over as president/CEO this summer. “We're pleased to have Paul Begala as our keynote. He will offer our members keen observations about today's political issues.”
Along with Capitol Hill visits, attendees will hear from other NAFCU executives and a lineup of congressmen and federal regulators.
Last year's Congressional Caucus keynote was Tucker Carlson, from the other side of the political aisle and Begala's partner on CNN's former “Crossfire” program.
