CO-OP Financial Services is giving credit unions until Sept. 30 to apply for Miracle Match grants for the benefit of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

The big payments and processing CUSO is again offering $1 million in matching funds on behalf of its 3,500 client credit unions in its 15th year of participation in the Credit Union for Kids campaigns.

“The program is national in scope, but dollars raised go to supporting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in the local service areas of the credit unions holding the events. This is an ideal way for credit unions to uplift the community of their members,” said Stan Hollen, president/CEO of CO-OP in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.

Credit unions also must submit their applications prior to the date of their own event, CO-OP said, and has made the applications available online.

More than $3 million was raised by credit unions and CO-OP last year through the matching grants program. There were 155 events, including 42 held for the first time, that benefited 62 CMN hospitals in 37 states, the company said.
