A credit union originally chartered in Poland to serve local coal miners has kept an international exchange going with Delta Community Credit Union for 17 years.
Four managers and one director from SKOK Jaworzno in Poland recently traveled to Atlanta, the home base of the $4.3 billion Delta Community, to continue to share best practices and learn more about common strategies and solutions in responding to ever-changing member needs, the Georgia credit union said.
During the week of May 5-12, Delta Community said, it coordinated events to give the professionals from SKOK Jaworzno a better understanding of the credit union movement in the U.S. and the challenges and opportunities credit unions here face.
