Shane Berger, CEO of the $179 million Beehive Federal Credit Union in Rexburg, Idaho, has been named chair of the Idaho Credit Union League's board of directors.

He was elected at the league's recent annual meeting and succeeds Brent Neibaur, CEO of the $111 million Advantage Plus FCU in Pocatello, whose term expired May 10.

Berger has been CEO at Beehive FCU for 28 years and is a Brigham Young University graduate and former recipient of the league's Professional of the Year award, the league said.

He also has served on the board of League Services Inc., the league's subsidiary, and on the Member Advocacy Subcommittee, Governmental Affairs Committee, and League Finance Committee. He also serves the credit union community at the national and international level serving on the World Leadership Development Committee and on Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union's Advisory Council.
