The Virginia Credit Union League has announced the results of recent elections for its board of directors.
Stan Leicester of the $1.3 billion BayPort CU in Newport News was re-elected to a three-year term representing credit unions with $50 million or more in assets in the Hampton Roads and Tidewater chapters.
Iris Ellis of the $11 million Assurance FCU in Richmond was re-elected to a three-year term representing credit unions with less than $50 million in assets in the Richmond and Southside chapters.
Cliff DeMars of the $115 million Blue Eagle CU in Roanoke was re-elected to a three-year term representing credit unions with $50 million or more in assets in the Lynchburg, Piedmont, Roanoke Valley and Southwestern Virginia chapters.
Carl Ratcliff of the $391 million ABNB FCU in Chesapeake was elected to a three-year term as an at-large director.
Joe Thomas of the $288 million Fairfax County FCU in Fairfax was re-elected to a three-year term as an at-large director.
In the board's reorganization meeting, the following officers were elected:
- Suzanne Hodgins of the $657 million University of Virginia Community CU in Charlottesville was re-elected as chair.
- Karen Orie of the $3.5 million Hampton Roads Educators' CU in Hampton was elected vice chair.
- Rose Gilliam of the $194 million Argent CU in Richmond was elected treasurer.
- Chris Williams of the $202 million Henrico FCU in Henrico was elected secretary.
The VCUL board also elected officers for the league's service corporation – Virginia Credit Union Services, Inc. – a wholly owned subsidiary of VCUL which provides products and services that include insurance, lending assistance, shared branching, card services and share draft processing:
- Iris Ellis of the $11 million Assurance FCU in Richmond was re-elected chair.
- Gaye DeCesare of the $309 million Belvoir FCU in Woodbridge was re-elected vice chair.
- Rose Gilliam of the $194 million Argent Credit Union in Richmond will serve as treasurer.
- Cheryl Dickerson of the $2.4 million Fairfax City FCU in Fairfax was re-elected secretary.
