Keith Wiemert has been named interim president/CEO of the Credit Union League of Connecticut.
Wiemert, president/CEO of the $157 million Seasons FCU in Middletown, is the current chair of the league's board of directors, a position he assumed just last month.
The board said Wednesday it also has appointed a search committee to seek a permanent replacement for Tony Emerson, who has taken the top job at the $465 million IC FCU in Fitchburg, Mass., after five years at the CULC.
“League staff is a group of seasoned professionals capable of working with little daily supervision,” Wiemert said. “I look forward to working with them and with our credit unions during this transition period.”
