The $1.4 billion Anheuser-Busch Employees' Credit Union in St. Louis will be switching its debit and credit processing services to Vantiv Inc., the credit union and company said.

ABECU cited ease of issuing new cards and launching new programs, and a single point of member service, in its decision, according to a statement from Vantiv.

“This superior level of support allows us to focus on deepening relationships with our members,” Ron Kampwerth, ABECU senior vice president, said in the statement.

“Our consultative service approach helps financial institutions like ABECU to navigate the evolving payments landscape and to capitalize on emerging trends,” said Royal Cole, president, financial institution services, at Vantiv.

The 112,100-member ABECU currently uses PSCU for credit and debit card signature processing and CO-OP Financial Services for debit PIN processing, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.

Cincinnati-based Vantiv said it now serves more than 1,300 financial institutions, about 60% of them credit unions.
