The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council has honored Lesley Carrell, Lisa Nicholas and Andy Reed for their achievements in marketing that contributed to the growth of their credit unions.

Carrell, senior vice president for marketing at the $740 million Fibre Federal Credit Union in Longview, Wash., was named the inductee to the council's 2013 Hall of Fame.

From her first credit union marketing position in 1990, Carrell has been a member of the senior management teams at four credit unions. She joined Fibre FCU to create a marketing and business development team, along with overseeing strategic planning, market research, brand development, and execution of marketing and business development strategies.

She has also been a member of the Asset Liability Committee and won the Dora Maxwell Award for Social Responsibility at the four credit unions where she worked, the council said.

Lisa Nicholas, vice president of marketing at the $612 million Amplify Federal Credit Union in Austin, Texas, received the Marketing Professional of the Year Award.

In 2012, her marketing efforts exceeded every goal in Amplify FCU's business plan, generating $81 million in loan growth, growing new memberships by 4,430 and opening 4,055 new checking accounts.

Nicholas also has given her time through speaking at league leadership and development conferences and serving on a league chapter board. She has received numerous credit union awards including the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award.

Andy Reed, manager of business development for the $5.6 billion American Airlines Federal Credit Union in Fort Worth, Texas received the Business Development Professional of the Year Award.

He has helped American Airlines FCU grow to more than 239,000 members and with over 40 branches nationwide. Reed manages a team of 15 business development employees and relationships with over 1,200 established TIP accounts including 27 strategic partners with multiple locations. He also oversees the credit union's ambassador program, which has more than 200 volunteer participants.

Reed also has served on the Texas Credit Union League's Marketing and Business Development Council Executive Committee and the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council Executive Committee since 2008, the council said.

Carrell, Nicholas and Reed were honored at the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council conference in late March in Anaheim, Calif.
