Credit unions in Iowa and Louisiana have recently committed to converting to the XP2 core processing solution from Fiserv Inc., the Wisconsin-based company said.

They are the $314 million Greater Iowa Credit Union in Ames and the $288 million E Federal Credit Union in Baton Rouge.

There are currently 195 credit unions listed as XP2 clients in the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates. E FCU is currently a Fiserv client, using the CUBE account processing platform, the survey said, while Greater Iowa currently runs on UltraData from Harland Financial Solutions.

The two new XP2 users also committed to other Fiserv solutions including wire transfers, ATM management and financial accounting at Greater Iowa CU, Fiserv said, and Corillian Online, CheckFree RXP bill pay and Mobiliti mobile banking at E FCU.

"We look to become more efficient throughout our operation – streamlining processes and procedures that will make it easier for our staff to better serve members and making it more convenient for members to conduct their business with us," said E FCU CEO Tyler Grodi.

"Our long-term goals are to grow our membership in Iowa by offering efficient and state-of-the-art retail and commercial services," said Scott Zahnle, CEO at Greater Iowa CU.

Fiserv said it now provides account processing solutions to more than 2,400 credit unions but declined to provide numbers for specific platforms.
