The nation's oldest credit union is providing some new technology to a local high school in Manchester, N.H. The $732 million St. Mary's Bank partnered with the Computer Technology Assistance Corps to donate 12 refurbished personal computers to Manchester West High School.

The 84,400-member credit union provided the used PCs and CTAC installed refurbished hard drives and Windows 7 on each computer, with St.Mary's covering the cost of the upgrades.

“West High School has been our West Side neighbor since the 1920s, and we're delighted that this gift will help West students compete in today's technology-driven world,” said Tom Champagne, St Mary's Bank director of community outreach.

“We restore computers donated by businesses and individuals, distributing them to low-income households, not-for-profits, community service organizations, schools and other groups,” said Steve Bothwick, executive director of the non-profit CTAC.  “We have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with St. Mary's Bank, and this donation is only the latest example of its ongoing commitment to the community at large.”
