American Heritage Federal Credit Union, Philadelphia, supporting local veterans, presenting a check for $5,000 check to the Bucks County Veterans Discount Card Program. The program ­allows local veterans to receive discounts at select businesses in Bucks and Montgomery counties in appreciation for their service to our country. American ­Heritage offers a special membership deal for veterans, giving them the opportunity to earn up to $155 by signing up for credit union services such as checking accounts with direct deposit, Independence check cards, online bill pay and e-statements. 

Arizona Central Credit Union, Phoenix, employees volunteered for five nonprofit organizations in the metro-Phoenix area. Nearly 200 staffers from the Valley and statewide in Flagstaff, Show Low and Tucson joined forces. Highlights included projects from landscaping, painting, cleaning and organizing donations to reading with kids and volunteering time to benefit at-risk families and individuals. The credit union partnered with ACYR AZ Call-A–Teen, UMOM New Day Centers, Goodwill, St. Vincent DePaul and Native American Connections. Throughout the year, the credit union helps the community through its “Central Cares” initiative designed to partner with local, state and national charities.
