Nominations are now being taken for next year's Herb Wegner Memorial Awards from the National Credit Union Foundation.

The deadline is June 28 for the Individual Achievement Award, Outstanding Organization Program Award and Lifetime Achievement Award that will be presented at the annual dinner on Feb. 24, 2014, at CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.

“NCUF's Wegner Awards are widely considered the highest national honors in the credit union movement,” said Josie Collins, director of donor relations and resource development at the NCUF in Madison, Wis.

 “We encourage credit union supporters to nominate their best and brightest whose achievements fulfill the Foundation's mission to make financial freedom achievable through credit unions,” Collins said.

She also said there have been some changes just made.

“One thing this year that the NCUF Awards & Recognition Committee added is new criteria so credit union supporters who've made a significant impact locally can also be nominated,” Collins said.
