The $33 million West Oahu Community Federal Credit Union in Waianae, Hawaii, has converted to the FLEX core processing system, according to its owner, Computer Marketing Corp. in Sandy, Utah.
The 5,400-member Hawaiian credit union cited the system's virtual server technology and integration with Check 21 and mobile banking solutions in its decision.
“Converting to new technology is not something a credit union does often. When it was apparent that we were in need of a core conversion for the future we found FLEX to offer the most innovative and simplified solution for our staff and members,” said John Furtado, West Oahu Community's president/CEO of West Oahu Community.
“Our core system is built around offering a one-stop solution for credit unions of all sizes. Because of this, each credit union on FLEX is offered personalized service to meet their unique system needs,” said Sean Holcomb, senior vice president of FLEX.
CMC said FLEX now has systems in place at nearly 300 credit unions across the United States and in the Eastern Caribbean.
West Oahu Community FCU had been operating on a Fiserv XP2 platform, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.
