Examination issues for 2013 will be the topic of a free webinar the NCUA's Official of Small Credit Union Initiatives has set for 2 p.m. EDT on March 27.
The agency said the free Wednesday afternoon session will be led by Timothy Segerson, deputy director of its Office of Examination and Insurance, and is open to credit unions of all sizes.
Segerson will discuss how NCUA's examiners will be evaluating a credit union's ability to manage operational, interest rate, liquidity and balance sheet risk.

Topics will include concentration and technology issues and whether internal controls are sufficient to deal with fraud, as well as whether a credit union's supervisory committee and audit functions are adequate for its size and complexity, the agency said.
