The Texas Credit Union Department announced Wednesday in a newsletter posted on its website that Dan Buckley, former interim CEO at the $2.7 billion Corporate America Credit Union, will join the state regulator as deputy commissioner effective Feb. 25.

Buckley was hired by Corporate America in September 2010 to be the Birmingham, Ala.-based corporate's vice president of risk management after a 25-year career as an NCUA examiner.

He was named interim CEO in April 2012 after former CEO Thomas Bonds took a leave of absence. Bonds resigned in July and the board selected former First Corporate CU CEO Pete Pritts to be its permanent CEO in October.

The Texas CUD also announced former state DMV enforcement attorney Stacey McLarty joined the regulator as assistant commissioner and general counsel.

Prior to working at the DMV, McLarty was an assistant general counsel at the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner, and before that, a prosecutor with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
