Robin Lentz, president/CEO of Cabrillo Credit Union, has been inducted into the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders in Washington, D.C., for her lifetime achievements in credit union leadership. Lentz, who has served at the helm of Cabrillo since 1979, is one of just 17 inductees nationwide to the Hall of Leaders in 2013.
"Robin Lentz has devoted her life to not only Cabrillo Credit Union but the industry and its lasting legacy," said Bruce Schmidt, chairman of Cabrillo's board of directors. "We are certainly proud of Robin and everything she has accomplished in her decades of continuing service."
In her 33 years at the San Diego-based Cabrillo, Lentz has led the credit union from just $6 million in total assets in 1979 to $195 million today. In her tenure, Lentz has served as president of the San Diego & Imperial Chapter of the California Credit Union League and as a member of its affiliated political action committee. Lentz has served as chair of the chapter's Board of Governors, rallying credit unions to advocate for the industry in Sacramento.
