Justice Federal Credit Union recently hosted two grand opening celebrations to commemorate the credit union's official presence in Georgia with the merger of the Georgia Department of Public Safety Credit Union. The celebrations took place at branches in South East Atlanta and Forsyth. Both locations were the sites of the former GDPSCU branches.
Over 500 Georgia Public Service Employees attended the grand openings.
The expanded Justice FCU presence in the Atlanta metropolitan area enables the credit union to serve current members who live and work there, as well as those individuals in the newly expanded field of membership, which includes individuals working within the agencies of the Georgia Department of Public Safety.
The merger of GDPSCU and Justice FCU was a natural fit, as both credit unions have similar missions, cultures, and complementary fields of membership, the credit union said in a statement.
Justice Federal Credit Union has assets $596 million and is headquartered in Chantilly, Va. The cooperative provides financial services to employees of the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security and the Georgia Department of Public Safety.
