Three weeks after Open Solutions Inc. was sold to Fiserv Inc., one of the Connecticut core processor's lead executives is moving to a longtime customer.
David Mitchell has been named senior vice president and chief partnership officer at COCC, the Avon, Conn., data center that provides its version of Open Solutions' platform to community banks and credit unions as an outsourced option.
Mitchell, a 20-year financial services veteran, had been executive vice president and chief product officer at Open Solutions in Glastonbury, Conn., where he was responsible for new product development and strategy. He also previously had been chief marketing officer there and president/general manager of its e-commerce and strategic products division.
“David will be an incredible asset to COCC and will play a crucial role in promoting the unique qualities of our technology partnerships, their role in guiding our decisions, ensuring our continued growth, and generating fierce loyalty to the COCC brand,” said COCC President/CEO Richard Leone.
“I am excited to join the COCC team, with its industry-leading customer service and long-standing record of delivering the full power of today's most advanced technological innovations,” Mitchell said in the COCC announcement on Wednesday.
COCC is owned by 124 financial institutions and has a total of 169 clients, including 34 credit unions among the 135 financial institutions using its core processing offering. The company also is an active participant in Open Solutions' DNA add-ons app store.
