A new name and logo are just a few of the changes Charlotte Metro Credit Union has put in place for its investment services division.

The $290 million credit union in Charlotte, N.C., said MEMBERS Financial Services is now Charlotte Metro Investment Services.

Along with the changes, Brian Re, a chartered retirement planning counselor, has been hired as CMIS' new investment representative. Re joins the division with 20 years' experience in the financial investments industry, according to Charlotte Metro. He is also FINRA-registered to sell securities and holds life and health insurance licenses.

Prior to coming to CMIS, Re was director of marketing and sales at DP Technologies in Matthews, N.C. In that role, he was responsible for the sales and marketing of annuity-based financial software applications.

Assisting Re will be Jessica Cale, who has been with Charlotte Metro since 2007. She began in the role of investment coordinator before being promoted to sales assistant.

Charlotte Metro Investment Services will continue to offer the same products and services through the same channels that MEMBERS Financial did, the credit union said.  Those services include retirement planning, investment services, insurance planning, tax-advantaged investment planning, personal financial assessments, estate conservation and education funding.
