Larry Wilson may be riding off into the sunset, but he's not going alone. The retiring chief financial officer of the $599 million Amoco FCU in Texas City, Texas, got a special gift, who left a local animal shelter by limousine after Wilson selected the pooch as his going away gift. Kimoh, a lab mix now re-named Duke, will be heading off with Wilson has they retire to the Texas Hill Country.
“Kimoh was a stray and had come to the shelter after being found running the streets. No one ever claimed Kimoh, and although the shelter staff and volunteers walked and played with him, what he needed was a real family,” said Kim Schoolcraft, an animal services manager at the local shelter. The lucky dog also got a weekend of exercise and pampering at a local Pet Palace before heading off with his new owner.
