The $8.9 million, 1,200-member Ukrainian Home Dnepr Federal Credit Union in Buffalo, N.Y., has merged with the $152 million Ukrainian Federal Credit Union in Rochester, N.Y.

UHDFCU's five employees will retain their positions and continue to work at the credit union's sole location in Buffalo, which is operating as a Ukrainian FCU branch.

Founded in 1953, Ukrainian FCU serves nearly 17,000 members nationwide and has more than 50 employees. Founded 60 years ago, the credit union operates six full-service branches in Rochester, Albany, and Syracuse, N.Y., Sacramento, Calif., Boston and Portland, Ore.

The merger, which went into effect Jan. 1, will be completed by the end of March.
