Employees of the $25 billion State Employees' Credit Union donated nearly $71,000 in 2012 to the NC State Employees Combined Campaign, the Raleigh, N.C., credit union said.

Meanwhile, SECU's members, through the credit union's foundation, provided $60,000 to help pay for the publication of the annual SECC Giving Guide, SECU said.

The campaign by North Carolina state employees raised more than $4 million in 2012 for more than 1,000 non-profit and charity organizations, SECU said.

SECU has been an active participant in the State Employees Combined Campaign for many years, the credit union said, and employee contributions for 2012 surpassed the previous year figures for participation and donations received.

“We are thankful to the SECU Foundation for their continued partnership with the SECC, providing the annual SECC Giving Guide and other resources that are critical components to the success of our Campaign,” said Mary Paisley, director of the SECC.
