Insuritas, a provider of outsourced insurance agencies, said it has reached an agreement with Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union to expand Denali Alaskan Insurance Agency.
The East Windsor, Conn.-based Insuritas said it will coordinate with Denali Alaskan Insurance to deliver its automated sales platform and their online agency capabilities to drive new levels of organic growth into the credit union's retail membership base.
Insuritas will supplement Denali Alaskan Insurance core agency's capabilities by providing their turnkey insurance agency distribution solution including sales professionals, full technology integration, online shopping, back-office services including billing and claims processing, and its agency Web portal, said Mike Gordon, manager for Denali Alaskan Insurance, a subsidiary of the $492 million Denali Alaskan FCU in Anchorage.
Insuritas will operate under the Denali Alaskan Insurance brand, focusing on insurance needs of the credit union's more than 42,000 retail members, according to Insuritas.
"Our credit union was strategically committed to rapidly expanding its insurance agency platform to allow members to shop, compare and buy the insurance they need during loan transactions and while paying bills online," Dale Fosselman, chief operating officer of Denali Alaskan FCU.
"The Insuritas outsourcing solution enables us to accomplish this objective for the credit union without the costs and operational risks of building out the technology rich operating environment needed to handle the increasingly commoditized personal lines coverages," Fosselman said.
