Brian Sherrick has been named president/CEO of Postal Credit Union in Woodbury, Minn., the credit union where he began his career as an intern in 1984.

Sherrick succeeds Ross Plunkett, who retired from the $541 million, 45,600-member PCU on Oct. 19. He had been serving as executive vice president of operations and lending.

Sherrick serves as chair of the PCU Community Foundation and on the board of the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead our credit union into the future,” said Sherrick. “We are fortunate to have a visionary board of directors, a talented executive team and knowledgeable, dedicated employees. Most of all, we are grateful for our loyal members, for without them none of our growth would be possible.”

Sherrick grew up in St. Paul and lives with his family in Lino Lakes.

PCU was founded in 1926 and said it now serves six counties from locations in Eagan, Hugo, North St. Paul, West St. Paul and Woodbury.
