The $793 million Financial Partners Credit Union launched a mobile bill pay app this month, one of the first of its kind in the Los Angeles market.
The mobile app allows members to pay bills when they want, transfer funds between accounts at FPCU and elsewhere and schedule automatic and recurring payments, the credit union said.
The app works on iPhones, Androids, BlackBerrys and through the credit union's mobile site and was provided by AccessSoftek, the credit union's mobile technology provider that integrated the app with the existing online bill pay service from Wescom Resources Group.
“Since the members have been asking for it, now they have it,” said the 50,000-member credit union's president/CEO, Nader Moghaddam.
FPCU already was one of the first credit unions in Southern California to offer mobile check deposit and other leading-edge services, he said.
“It is the progressive nature of our credit union that continues to meet the growing technology needs of our members,” Moghaddam said. “Our mobile bill pay service is just one component in that forward-thinking path.”
