APG Federal Credit Union, Aberdeen, Md., announced that Tia-Shon Kelley has joined the credit union’s team as manager of its new Fallston branch. She brings 15 years of financial services management experience to APGFCU. Prior to joining the credit union, Kelley held key management positions with M&T Bank, NationsBank and MBNA Bank and earned a bachelor of science in telecommunications from Morgan State University. 

First Heritage Federal Credit Union, Painted Post, N.Y., has promoted Colleen Dobson to vice president, loan administration. Previously, Dobson was training manager. In addition to her new duties, she will continue to coordinate the institution’s training programs. Dobson joined First Heritage in 1991 and has held positions including teller, branch coordinator, senior lender and branch manager of the credit union’s Painted Post main office. She is a 2008 graduate of the CUNA Management School.

Langley Federal Credit Union, Newport News, Va., announced that Debra Vollmer has been promoted to senior vice president of branch services. Vollmer will oversee operations, sales and service to Langley’s members through the credit union’s 19 branches through Hampton Roads and Contact Center staffed with 37 employees. Vollmer began her career at LFCU as a branch manager in 2003 and was promoted to vice president of operations in 2004. 

Oxford Federal Credit Union,  Mexico, Maine, has announced the appointment of Matthew Kaubris, chief executive officer and president, by Governor Paul LePage to the Kim Wallace Adaptive Equipment Loan Program Fund Board, the only citizen-funded type loan program in the country.  Loans totaling more than $8 million have been made to individuals and businesses in the past 20 years

Suffolk Federal Credit Union, Medford, N.Y., announced that Ralph Marra has recently joined the credit union as chief information officer. Marra has more than thirty years of experience in technology and business management with Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, Texaco, Drexel Burnham and Citibank, where he spent 18 years in IT management positions. He is also a member of the Long Island Technology Forum and an adjunct professor at Stony Brook University where he teaches management and information systems on both the undergraduate and MBA levels. Marra is a graduate of Fordham University and received his master’s degree in information systems from Iona College.

MIDWEST

Consumers Credit Union, Waukegan, Ill., recently announced the promotion of Bonny Thomas to the position of VISA manager at the member-owned credit union. Replacing Thomas as the branch manager in Mundelein was Jim Eisert, formerly the counter service manager at CCU’s Waukegan office. Jennifer Wenckowski replaced Eisert in Waukegan, resulting in the promotion of Anissa Ivy, as the new counter service manager in the Gurnee office. Thomas returned to the credit union as a member service representative in 2007, working in the Gurnee and Mundelein offices before her promotion to the Visa department after working in Round Lake Beach earlier in her career. Thomas has a background in card servicing, issuance and fraud monitoring to her new position. As VISA manager, Thomas will manage the daily operations of the VISA department, while maintaining and further developing CCU’s VISA portfolio.

SOUTH

Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union, Pensacola, Fla., has hired Whitney Fike, of Pensacola, as a marketing specialist in the credit union’s marketing department. In this role, Fike will assist in the formulation and implementation of strategic marketing plans. Prior to joining Gulf Winds, Fike worked for the nonprofit and government sectors. She has a bachelor’s of arts in communications from the University of West Florida. Fike currently serves as president of the Florida Public Relations Associations, Pensacola chapter and is a graduate of the Greater Pensacola Chamber Leadership Pensacola, class of 2012.

WEST

Redwood Credit Union, Napa, Calif., announced that its Sonoma branch manager, Alfredo Pedroza, was recently elected to the Napa City Council. His priorities as a City Council member will include job creation, making Napa affordable for families, promoting a healthy business environment, and improving Napa’s transportation infrastructure, the credit union said.  Pedroza has worked in financial services since 2005, and joined Redwood Credit Union in 2009 as assistant branch manager of the Napa branch before becoming branch manager of the Sonoma  and  Glen Ellen branches. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from Sonoma State University. He is commissioner for the Napa County Gang and Youth Violence Commission and sits on boards and committees for numerous other local organizations, including Community Action Napa Valley, Sonoma State University Alumni Campus Advisory Committee, and Napa County Hispanic Network. He has previously served on the board of directors of the Napa Valley Education Foundation, Napa Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Sonoma County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.  “We are extremely proud of Alfredo and are confident he will be a great asset as a City Council member for the people of Napa,” said Brett Martinez, RCU president/CEO. “Redwood Credit Union is very committed to the communities we serve and we are supportive of RCU employees taking on leadership roles in local government and an on nonprofit and community boards.”

Security Service Federal Credit Union, Colorado Springs, Colo., announced that Joshua Stamps has been selected to serve as the manager of its Powers and Barnes Service Center in Colorado Springs. Stamps will be responsible for service center operations, strategic planning in the district, and community involvement in the Colorado Springs area. Stamps has been employed with SSFCU for eight years and has served as the manager of the credit union’s Americas Service Center in El Paso, Texas. He was recognized in 2011 as SSFCU’s Manager of the Year.
