This year's fourth annual Bethpage Turkey Drive in Long Island, N.Y., will do more than collect turkeys and canned goods for residents in need.

The $4.5 billion Bethpage Federal Credit Union will expands its food drive to support Hurricane Sandy victims by asking those Long Islanders who were not severely affected by the storm to lend a hand to their neighbors in need by making a donation to Island Harvest, Long Island's largest hunger relief organization.

In addition to frozen turkeys, Bethpage and Island Harvest are requesting easy-to-open shelf stable food items, cleaning supplies and baby items such as diapers.

The Bethpage "Turkey, Emergency Food & Relief Drive" will take place on Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. – rain or shine – outside of Bethpage's main branch located at 899 South Oyster Bay Road in Bethpage.
