The $501 million Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union in Austin said that 560 of its 69,300 members signed up as users of its free mobile app for Androids and iPhones in the first two days after its Oct. 30 launch.
The app was created by local developer Malauzai Software and offers account and transaction information, cleared check viewing, transfers and branch locators.
More capabilities will be added over time to ensure that member's needs are met, Greater TEXAS said in its announcement.
Malauzai said it currently serves about 20 credit unions and 70 community banks.
