Zia Credit Union has found a new leader.

Former CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union Vice President of Lending David Woodruff has been named president/CEO of the $130 million Los Alamos, N.M., credit union.

Woodruff holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from Brigham Young University and is a graduate of the CUES CEO Institute. 

During his tenure at the $305 million CommonWealth One in Alexandria, Va., Woodruff was credited with helping significantly increase the organization's real estate portfolio, his new employer said.

He also served as the manager of lending operations at the $1.2 billion Numerica Credit Union in  Spokane, Wash., Zia CU said in its announcement.
