Thanks to a $15,000 grant, the Vector Physical Therapy & Aquatic Center will be able to buy a new pool filtration system that will provide more comfort to its patients.
The $960 million Coast Central Credit Union in Eureka, Calif., along with the Community Investment Program provided the grant to the center, which is also located in Eureka.
The funds will be used to purchase an ultraviolet filtration system, which lessens the amount of chemicals required in the pool in turn, provides a higher level of comfort to pool users, according to the physical therapy and aquatic center.
In addition to orthopedic and sports rehabilitation programs, Vector said its services include arthritis and hand therapy, neurological rehabilitation, a craniofacial program and several early intervention programs.
Coast Central serves nearly 55,000 members.
