On some days, you just never know who is going to come knocking on the door at your credit union.
Chris Rohrbaugh, vice president at the $37 million Glatco Credit Union in Spring Grove, Pa., had a surprise visitor at the branch Monday morning, reports the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association newsletter.
Rohrbaugh heard banging noises coming from her office window around 11 a.m. When she looked, she spotted a six- or eight-point buck trotting his way through downtown Spring Grove, about 35 miles south of Harrisburg. His picture was caught on the credit union's lobby security camera.
"Perhaps the deer was looking to join the credit union and 'save a buck,'" laughed Glatco Credit Union CEO Bill Bowker in a phone call with Credit Union Times. "That could be our marketing campaign for International Credit Union Day."
