Fans of professional hockey may be bemoaning the National Hockey League's lockout. But that's not the case in southwest Michigan where the Consumers Credit Union and its members–a good number of them big hockey fans– are looking forward to another season of minor league hockey with the Kalamazoo Wings team.

The $385 million Consumers CU of Kalamazoo, Mich., recently announced a new partnership with the K-Wings that will offer its 47,000 members discount ticket pricing at the 5,000-seat Kalamazoo Wings Stadium.

The credit union also will sponsor events such as K-Wings Education Day in which kids from across southwest Michigan can attend a special school-day game, and Family Hockey Day in the Zoo that will feature family-centered activities at all Sunday home games.
