Employees of 740 water and wastewater facilities across Indiana will have access to financial products and services with Utilities Employees Credit Union.
The $1 billion cooperative in Wyomissing, Pa., said the connection comes through a partnership it has with the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water. The two came together earlier this year to provide financial wellness benefits to the employees that participate in the alliance.
Utilities Employees said it offers utility, energy, and related-industry associations and companies a free voluntary benefit they can extend to employees and their family members, to promote financial wellness, reduce employer health care costs and enhance worker productivity.
The credit union will conduct a presentation at the AIRW's conference Oct. 18 at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., on improving employee health, safety and productivity with little or no budget.
Formed in 1934, the virtual Utilities Employees' membership includes employees of 600 companies and members of Energy People Connect, an association for individuals currently employed or pursuing employment in the energy industry.
