Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Kingston, N.Y., announced the promotion of Wayne Winkler to president/CEO.

Winkler was named acting CEO in April of 2012. On being selected as CEO of the $750 million credit union, Winkler commented, "I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead this great organization. I look forward to building upon the continued success of the credit union, in providing the Mid-Hudson Valley community with innovative technology, convenient financial solutions, and reliable service."

Winkler joined the credit union in 1990 as vice president/chief financial officer and was promoted to executive vice president/chief financial officer in 1995. In 2006, his role again changed with MHV and he was named executive vice president/chief lending officer.

Gary Anderson, MHV board chairman said that Winkler's "considerable strengths, expertise, and leadership abilities will only strengthen our organization, and most importantly, service to our members." 

Winkler has 37 years working in the banking industry and earned the certified chief executive designation in 1994 from CUES.
