Longtime credit union industry executive Bob Bream is retiring on Dec. 31 as president of North American Cards and Payments Solutions for FIS, the Jacksonville, Fla., company announced on Wednesday.
Bream was CEO when he moved from then Jax Navy Federal Credit Union (now Vystar CU) in Jacksonville to take the same position at then United Airlines Employees CU (now Alliant CU) in Chicago in 1991. He joined the former Certegy Card Services North America as vice president and general manager in 2002. Certegy merged with FIS in 2005.
The company said no immediate organizational changes will occur as a result of the announced retirement.
“Under his leadership, the division helped expand FIS' comprehensive set of payment solutions and touched more than 3,500 financial institutions,” the company's announcement said of Bream.
“Most recently, the success of the card solutions and loyalty business lines is evidenced by numerous high-profile client renewals, new business generation and high client satisfaction scores,” FIS said in the announcement signed by Anthony Jabbour, the company's executive vice president, North American Financial Institutions, and Gary Norcross, FIS president/chief operating officer.
