The $454 million Insight Credit Union in Orlando, Fla., has added remote deposit capture to its mobile banking service.
Insight said it is using technology from Cachet Financial Services and FI-MOBILE to provide its 55,000 members the ability to take pictures of checks with their smartphones and send the image in for deposit.
"As we deliver cutting edge service, we are also able to provide cost savings and expand our delivery to our members at the same time," said Insight President/CEO George R. Davis.
Insight has 12 locations around central Florida, serving anyone who lives or works in Orange, Seminole, Lake, Brevard, Volusia, Sumter, Putnam, Citrus, Marion, Levy, Dixie, Taylor, Gilchrist, Columbia or Suwanee counties.
Last year it expanded its FOM to take in church members, employees and members of the clergy in the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida, the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida, the Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida and the Episcopal Diocese of Florida and their family members.
