The $959 million Allegacy Federal Credit Union in Winston-Salem, N.C. expects to merge the $11 million I-R Employees FCU of Mocksville, N.C., following the Labor Day weekend.

Details on the planned merger were not immediately available. In a statement, Allegacy said it expects the conversion to be complete by Sept. 4.
I-R Employees, which serves 2,800 members, maintains two offices in Mocksville and Davidson.
Current I-R Employees staff will remain in place, Allegacy said.
"We will serve the existing base of Ingersoll Rand and Doosan employees and their families," noted the statement by Allegacy President/CEO Ike Keener.
Allegacy said with the I-R merger the credit union would have 16 locations.
