The $293 million McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union in East Windsor, N.J., has added an iPad app to its mobile banking lineup.
The 20,000-member credit union said that makes it one of about 4% of credit unions in the country to offer a tablet app. Intuit Financial Services of Calabasas, Calif., provided the technology.
Earlier this year, McGraw-Hill FCU added mobile remote deposit checking earlier this year for users of the Apple and Android apps the credit union also offers using Intuit software. The credit union said 40% of its members currently use the smartphone apps and it expects similar adoption for its new iPad app, available at the iTunes store.
"We have a responsibility to help consumers achieve financial wellness in everything we do, which includes offering caring service, better rates and minimal fees, as well as delivering leading edge remote-access technology," said Shawn Gilfedder, McGraw-Hill FCU president/CEO.
"McGraw-Hill FCU has positioned itself to exceed the financial service needs of an increasingly mobile consumer base," Gilfedder said.
