There's a new leader at Parkside Credit Union.

Industry veteran Martin Carter has been named president/CEO of the $78 million Livonia, Mich., credit union.

Martin has more than 30 years of credit union experience, including as executive vice president at Community Choice CU in Farmington Hills, Mich., and vice president of branch operations at Credit Union ONE in Ferndale, all in suburban Detroit.

He has also served as a consultant in areas including human resources and training, compliance and risk management, and investment services.

Carter holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in finance from Walsh College in Troy, Mich.
