The Illinois Credit Union League said it expects a group of nearly 90 people representing 48 credit unions to attend its Small Asset Size Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday at the league's offices in Naperville, Ill.

Keynote speaker will be William Myers, director of Small Credit Union Initiatives for the NCUA. State and NCUA economic development specialists and examiners also will address the group on Tuesday.

Wednesday will feature sessions on smart phone apps, compliance resources, lending and investments, the league said.

The SAS conferences have been held since 2002 and this year's turnout is near capacity, the league said. It said257 of the state's 365 credit unions have $25 million in assets or less.

“We strive to be a focal point to help our small credit unions succeed and it seems this conference helps to address their concerns and needs year after year,” said ICUL President/CEO Dan Plauda.
