Educational Systems FCU of Greenbelt, Md., is scheduled to complete its merger with the troubled Montgomery County Teachers FCU Wednesday, creating an educational employees credit union with almost $800 million in assets and 10 branches in six southern Maryland counties.

The $400 million MCT FCU of Derwood, Md., which has just 4.3% net worth, will operate as a stand-alone division of Educational Systems FCU.

The integration of the data systems at the combined credit union, which will be the state's 10th largest, is not expected until next year.
