Lacamas Community Credit Union of Camas, Wash., said it will be remodeling its 192nd Avenue Branch to create a more interactive environment.

The $176 million credit union said that the new interior design will generate a more open setting for members to communicate with staff and learn about the credit union's new technological offerings, such as mobile banking, remote deposit capture, ATM upgrades and live chat.

“It is an integral part of the Lacamas mission to be convenient to our members. We know people are busy today and need more flexibility for their banking services,” President/CEO Kathleen Romane said in a statement. “We are excited to enhance the Lacamas experience with the remodel of our centrally located 192nd Avenue branch and implementation of other new technologies.”

The construction is set to complete in late August, but the branch will remain open for the majority of the remodeling. In the final two weeks of the project, Lacamas said the branch's lobby will be closed and that service will be available through the ATM or drive-thru window.

Lacamas has six branches and more than 17,000 members.
