In a weeklong anniversary celebration, Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union will commemorate 75 years of service.
When the Midland, Mich.-based credit union opened its doors on July 28, 1937, membership was available only to employees of the Dow Chemical Co. The membership fee was 25 cents, and the credit union location in Dow Chemical's personnel building made it easily accessible to the members.
In 1943, DCECU added Dow Corning employees to its membership eligibility list. Today, dozens of companies, their employees and families can join DCECU.
